If I was Julie Roberts I'm not sure I would have the strength to turn out this album never mind sing on it.
This is an independent release Julie explains that one of her favourite songs on the album is Stronger and anyone who has kept up with the Carolina native's life over the past few years will know that strength is needed in bucket loads to overcome her difficulties. From battling with Multiple Sclerosis and watching her house float away with the Nashville floods of 2010, the ballad tells us 'I fall sometimes - I crawl sometimes - Lose it all sometimes - It makes me stronger.'
I've been lucky enough to see this young lady live and trust me she is something special she combines Country with Blues and soul in bucket loads and this album is no exception, she has obviously progressed as an artist and you feel the pain and hurt in the sad songs and she transmits the joy when she's happy.
I don't doubt that dances will be written to some of the songs in this album but do yourself a favour and just listen, you'll be glad you took the time.
